Past Masters of Avery Lodge
In Masonic lodges one of our guiding principles is that we are all “on the level”. In other words, we are all equals. However, each year one Master is elected to serve as the leader of the lodge for the ensuing year. Once their term is served, they step back into the fold as a regular member of the lodge.
Typically it takes about 6-7 years to become the Master of the lodge. This involves serving in a variety of roles throughout the year, exemplifying the ability to lead, and showing a commitment to the other members of the lodge.
While our time as the Master of the lodge is short and we readily step back onto the sidelines – Past Masters hold a place of respect in our lodges. Below we remember the Past Masters of Avery Lodge.
